Job Summary:

  • Involvement in GIS application development, system integration, database development, and another programming that supports GIS functions. Performs complex technical coordination and management of GIS projects with stakeholders internally or externally.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • 1) Design, implement, analyze and maintain data operation, system integration and GIS applications. 
  • 2) Develop web and mobile mapping applications and geo-processing tools to support GIS. 
  • 3) Understand customer requirements and develop GIS application to meet business needs.  
  • 4) Analyze customer issues and provide resolutions.  
  • 5) Assist in data integrity and quality assurance activities to ensure application stability. 
  • 6) Recommend new technologies and techniques for application development. 
  • 7) Ensure that application architecture meets business requirements. 
  • 8) Design, code and integrate application with database management systems. 
  • 9) Test applications, troubleshooting and perform bug fixes. 
  • 10) Develop system problem reports and recommendations. 
  • 11) Propose development initiatives to increase programming efficiency. 
  • 12) Maintain and support application according to changing business requirements. 
  • 13) Make presentations and demos so that customers clearly understand the GIS application. 
  • 14) Stay current with latest developments in GIS field. 
  • 15) Assist in developing project proposal, budget, and schedule.  
  • 16) Work effectively in a team to develop high quality GIS solutions. 

Experience & Knowledge :

  • 1) Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent or Degree in Geographic Information System (GIS) 
  • 2) At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. 
  • 3) Knowledge in Python, MySQL, Javascript, .NET and HTML. 
  • 4) Experience in C, C# will be added advantage. 
  • 5) Knowledge in performing integration using web services, API etc. 
  • 6) Knowledge in Network infrastructure will be added advantage. 
  • 7) Able to learn new technology in short period of time.
